This installation was created in order to provide an engaging and informative experience to the park visitors. The Purple Olive Snail was chosen for it’s interesting characteristics as well as it’s cultural significance to the native population of the area. The installation is made to reflect this organism by mimicking the shape and color of it’s shell, which it is known for. 

The installation also has the shell of this snail as well as bead necklaces made from them embedded in the wall with information above it. There is also a shell shaped component that can be rolled to reveal information.
